The white one, dubbed “Ecostyle” was designed by Christina Aguilera with features a water-based Vanilla, cactus-colored seat-inserts and bamboo applique placed on the door trim and center console (all sustainable materials). The car is to be auctioned to benefit relief efforts in Haiti.

Lambert: Aguilera "beat" me to Goldfrapp

Adam Lambert has revealed that Christina Aguilera pipped him to a potential Goldfrapp collaboration.

The American Idol star had hoped to work with the British electropop duo on his debut album For Your Entertainment, for which he later bagged songwriting contributions from Lady GaGa, Justin Hawkins from The Darkness, Muse's Matt Bellamy, Pink and Weezer frontman River Cuomo.

"I really wanted to work with them and they expressed a mutual interest, but they were so busy with their own project and working with Christina Aguilera that it didn't work out," he told Digital Spy.

"When I heard Christina was working with them, I was like, 'Aww, she beat me!'"

However, Lambert insisted that he bears no hard feelings towards Aguilera, saying: "It's a really interesting combination though - I can't wait to see how that sounds."

Lambert also revealed that he "loves" Goldfrapp's new single 'Rocket', which is released in the UK on Monday.

"The thing I appreciate about Goldfrapp, aside from their incredible production and the way that they make music sound, is that they put a lot of thought into their material conceptually," he said.

"With [the group's 2005 LP] Supernature they wanted to go for an updated glam thing and it was great - the whole album fit into that concept and they made it sound contemporary. They're doing the same thing with 'Rocket', in terms of nodding to that '80s sound but doing it in a contemporary way. They're so smart."

Adam Lambert releases his UK debut single 'For Your Entertainment' on April 26.

Alan Cumming Video Blogs About Burlesque

I just got back to my hotel after a 16 hour day of work, my last on the movie Burlesque. I am really tired, but I can't imagine how the girl dancers are feeling tonight. They have been dancing their asses off, at full pelt, all day long, wearing these chain-mail style dresses that are already making scrapes and grazes on their skin - and they have a whole day of doing it all again tomorrow. It's the finale of the film, a song written by Christina, and it really is amazing. But wow, those girls, I don't envy them. And the set is so hot because there are huge stage lights on all day and the air conditioning can't be turned on because it makes the smoke that is pumped into the sound stage to increase the lighting effects disappear. At least they all look totally hot and are going to be worshipped the world over come Thanksgiving. Here's a little film I made today...

Goldfrapp talk Christina AGAIN.

Has writing with Christina Aguilera opened the door to more collaborations with other mainstream pop icons? (eg Britney Spears, Justin Beaver, or such and so forth).

Alison: It’s something we’ve been asked in every interview we’ve done so far, which is now quite a few, and it’s all over the net and everywhere. Everyone’s talking about us writing with Christina Aguilera, and… Well, we wrote her a song, but we have no idea what is happening with it. And that’s because they haven’t wanted to play it to us.
Will: Probably for security reasons. I mean if we were in LA they’d probably just say, ‘come round and we’ll play it to you’.
Alison: Yeah, so we don’t know. That’s the short answer of what’s gonna happen, whether it’s on her new album or not, we just don’t know right now. Unfortunately we’ve been asked about it in interviews so it’s all round the net at the moment with me saying, ‘I ing hope she doesn’t release it because it’s not finished!’ We’d really like to have the opportunity to hear it and improve it if we can.

Was there something about writing for Christina that appealed in a way that writing for other artists hadn’t previously appealed?

Alison: We just thought – well, we’d never ever done it before. I think we’ve been asked once and we weren’t able to because we were so busy, and this just sort of came at a time when we were in between albums and we just thought it’d be an interesting experience.
Will: We did have a couple of tracks that were sort of undeveloped, and we just sent them to her.
Alison: And she really liked them.
Will: So she got us over to work with her on them. Well, one in the end, for a week. And it was nice. I think it was a good experience. A bit of a challenge.
Alison: It was kind of an experiment really, it was one of those weird things that sort of snowballed into something bigger than we’d really thought about. She was telling everyone that she was working with us and a whole bunch of people and the truth is that we haven’t really heard anything.

The list of potential and rumoured collaborators on this album is pretty impressive…

Alison: Yeah, and I don’t know what the deal is with them either, so it’s one of those things that’s snowballed and been talked about, but actually no one really seems to know anything. (Laughs) Christina Aguilera’s obviously a very big name, and there’s a big machine that circulates all around it and we’re kind of very small fry and really independent, so you’re really at the mercy of the big machine that’s constantly revolving around her, and there’s not very much that we can do or say at this point.

Is there any appeal in outside songwriters contributing songs for Goldfrapp?

Alison: Yeah, I think we’re open to any suggestions of anything! It’s all very interesting, and I guess if someone said to us, ‘we’d really love you to perform a song that we’ve written’, we’d definitely give it a listen.
