Christina Aguilera Autographs Eco Style Chrysler for Haiti

The singer and actress customized a Chrysler 300 that will be auctioned off for charity.

"It's amazing what a pen can do in the right hands," the video on Leake Car Auction's website proclaims. This thought echoes the famous adage we all know: "The pen is mightier than the sword." In the case of the Chrysler 300 eco-style edition, both lines ring exceptionally true. Stars for a Cause has teamed up with the Chrysler Group to auction off 6 eco-friendly cars — generously donated by Chrysler, that have been autographed by some of the top names in Hollywood.

Christina Aguilera was selected to personalize and customize one of the cars, which will be auctioned off in San Antonio by Leake Auction Company. Bids can also be placed online or by phone. According to a release, the custom-designed Aguilera Chrysler boasts: "[A] vanilla exterior and cactus interior luxury car. The eco style edition uses recycled materials, such as recycled rubber for the floor mats, bamboo wood interior, 100% recycled metals, and includes a fuel efficiency system that reduces the 8 cylinder engine to 4 cylinders when necessary."

The singer and actress also signed the car, which will be sold at no reserve on at the second annual Don Kruse-Leake Car Collector Auction on April 10 at 2 p.m. to raise money for victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. According to Stars for a Cause's website, "100% of the proceeds will go to Christina Aguilera's designated charity: 'The United Nation's Food Programme, for Haitian Relief.'"

Stars for a Cause has already successfully auctioned off a seventh eco style car generously donated by Chrysler to help aid the ailing nation. A special Chrysler 300 "Haiti" sat on the red carpet at this year's Golden Globe Awards, and nearly every major star that walked down the carpet stopped to autograph the car. Pictures of stars like George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Fergie and Maggie Gyllenhaal signing the car are available on the Leake Car Auction site.

According to the release, "This one-of-a-kind vehicle auction generated $112,400 ($100,000 from bidders, $10,000 from Leake, $2,400 from attendees) at the Leake Auction Company’s annual collector car auction in Oklahoma City." Proceeds went to the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund. The winner got one unique "custom paint job."
