[NEWS] LADY GAGA'S AGUILERA MAKEOVER!
LADY GaGa steps out looking remarkably similar to singing rival Christina Aguilera.
For years we've applauded the superstar for her unique sense of style.
But with her bright red lips, pale face, fake eyelashes and poker straight long hair parted in the middle, she appears to have pinched Xtina's stylist and make-up team.
The daring figure-hugging black dress is also something one would expect to find in Miss Aguilera's wardrobe.
The star's new look was unveiled as GaGa left the posh Chateau Marmont in Hollywood for her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show.

[NEWS] DITA VON TEESE: 'OF COURSE, I CAN'T SING LIKE CHRISTINA AGUILERA, BUT...'
What’s your favorite song to perform to?
Source: OffBeat
I have all my own music made, which is one of my favorite parts of creating these shows. I find obscure music from the past and have musicians re-record it with all new instruments and change certain parts. I have a great guy who works with me on my music. I’m not really a singer, but I had an idea as a tribute to one of my idols Gypsy Rose Lee. I decided to record a song. I recorded this about four years ago for the Crazy Horse when I was there. It’s a song that Mae West originally called “A Guy Takes His Time.” Incidentally, last year in the movie Burlesque, they also used that song after they saw me perform it. Of course, I can’t sing like Christina Aguilera, but it’s definitely done in my own style and has a great musical arrangement.

[NEWS] BONO OF U2: 'I WILL BE THE CHRISTINA AGUILERA OF U2...'
PITTSBURGH — The U2 concert Tuesday truly was out of this world.
“Hello Pittsburgh,” came the greeting on the 360-degree video screen from astronaut Mark Kelly aboard the International Space Station.
Kelly, husband of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, spelled out the signature line and title of U2’s next and ninth song “It’s a Beautiful Day,” which the Irish rockers then played, later cutting back to the video screen showing Kelly reciting one of the verses as the crowd at Heinz Field roared.
U2 had plenty more surprises, all the way up to the very end of its two-hour-25-minute performance. After the band had finished its third encore choice, 2009’s “Moment of Surrender,” which has been the show-ender at prior tour dates, singer Bono called a huddle. Bandmates Adam Clayton, Larry Mullen and The Edge gathered round, then they broke from the huddle, went back to their posts and began playing “Bad,” a poignant song about a junkie and longtime friend of the band who is now in recovery, and was in the Heinz Field audience visiting from Cleveland.
The band took the stage shortly after 9 to the strains of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity,” a snippet of which the band later played live during “Beautiful Day” to complement the space station video visit.
Bono called Pittsburgh “The Steel City” a few times, adding it was intimidating playing in the City of Champions, “because of all the great people you’ve had come out of here.”
He didn’t mean sports heroes, as he then compared his bandmates to western Pennsylvania artists and entertainers, saying the Edge, is like “the great Andy Warhol, who changed the game,” while the stylish Clayton “is the Perry Como of U2,” and actor Mullen “is the Charles Bronson of U2.” “I will be the Christina Aguilera of U2,” Bono said. “She can sing,” he said with respect. I’m in touch with my inner chick.”
Bono recalled that U2’s first Pittsburgh show was in May 1981, though he couldn’t remember the name of the joint, so he asked fans for help. He eventually realized spectators accurately were shouting “The Decade,” after the defunct Oakland nightclub. “And what a decade it was,” Bono quipped. “I was proud of my mullet.”
Bono still has one of the world’s most stirring voices, though I thought there were a couple moments when he played it safe and lowered his range a bit, notably on the late-set “One.” Maybe he was just saving breath for the song that came next, “Where the Streets Have No Name,” which began marvelously with a bit of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
While certainly one of the best concerts of the year, it would be tough to pick a standout song. So many of them sounded excellent. You could make a good argument for “Mysterious Ways” or “I Will Follow,” which were songs No. 3 and 5; mid-setter “Elevation,” which is what fans on the floor sought by jumping up and down; or “Vertigo,” which arrived two-thirds into the show.
The Edge’s one-of-a-kind chiming guitar sound provided many glorious moments, one of the best coming with his super-fast strumming on “City of Blinding Lights.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be a U2 concert without Bono preaching about politics and social causes. He enlightened spectators about Burmese Democracy party leader Aung San Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner recently freed from a lengthy house arrest prompted by her non-violent political protests. She gave a heartfelt greeting on the cylindrical video screen, too, reminding people that there are other political prisoners who need help.
Bono spoke briefly on behalf of Amnesty International, and thanked Americans for financial contributions he said have kept alive 5 million people in Africa.
This was the final night of the band’s U.S. tour — the last stop of the two-year trek is Saturday in Moncton, New Brunswick — and Bono thanked fans “For this grand madness,” motioning to the band’s gargantuan, record-sized stage with its 150-foot tower.
I didn’t think the stage lived up to its hype. Yes, it offered unparalleled sight lines, and there was a runway surrounding it, with two movable bridges that enabled the band to get out in the crowd a bit. Still, I didn’t feel the band got far enough into the audience, or maybe I got spoiled seeing Taylor Swift play a few songs in the back of the Heinz Field surface, while later soaring high above it on a rigged platform. OK, she’s younger, and she does have an album called “Fearless.”
U2’s opening act Interpol impressed with its 41-minute set. Singer Paul Bradley’s deep, serious delivery was enjoyable, as was guitarist Daniel Kessler’s note-bending, gut-grabbing style.

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA LENDS POWERFUL VOICE IN NEW PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUCEMENT
07.27.2011– Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM), the world’s largest restaurant company and parent of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, announced today that multi-Grammy Award winner and pop superstar Christina Aguilera is giving hunger a powerful voice by filming a new PSA for the Company’s World Hunger Relief effort that benefits the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and other hunger relief agencies.
Aguilera will appear in the new PSA as well as advertising, online efforts and posters made possible by KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell to be released this fall. She has served as global spokesperson for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief effort since 2009 where her participation has helped raise nearly $50 million for WFP and other hunger relief agencies. She also serves as an “Ambassador Against Hunger” for WFP where she has traveled on relief trips with the organization to Haiti and Guatemala.
There are nearly 1 billion hungry people around the world today. Hunger and malnutrition are the number one risk to health worldwide – greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.
“As a mother, the idea that even one child could go to bed hungry is unacceptable and that’s why I’m so passionate about fighting global hunger,” said Aguilera. “I’m excited about my new PSA for World Hunger Relief this fall and hope it will raise more awareness about the issue and move millions of people from hunger to hope.”
Yum! Brands’ annual fall World Hunger Relief effort is the world’s largest private sector hunger relief initiative, spanning 110 countries, 38,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants and over one million employees, to raise awareness, volunteerism and funds for WFP and others. Consumers can visit www.FromHungertoHope.com or donate in the restaurants this fall. Every U.S. dollar raised will go directly towards WFP’s operations to fight hunger around the world.
“Christina is raising tremendous attention to the critical global hunger problem and inspiring others to become part of the solution,” said David Novak, Chairman and CEO, Yum! Brands, Inc. “We are extremely thankful for her continued partnership in the fight against hunger to save millions of lives.”
Since World Hunger Relief launched in 2007, more than one million of the Company’s employees, franchisees and their families have volunteered more than 21 million hours to aid hunger relief efforts in communities worldwide. The effort has raised nearly $85 million for WFP and other hunger relief organizations and is helping to provide over 350 million meals and save the lives of millions of people in remote corners of the world.
Yum! is also addressing hunger across the U.S. through its Harvest program. Since its launch over a decade ago, Harvest has become the largest prepared-food donation program in the world. Through Harvest, Yum! has donated over 125 million pounds of food, with a value of over $500 million, to those at risk of hunger in the U.S. The Company also has been the primary sponsor of the Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville for nine years, and has donated nearly $8 million to this local agency.
Yum! Brands, Inc., based in Louisville, Ky., is the world’s largest restaurant company in terms of system restaurants with approximately 38,000 restaurants in more than 110 countries and territories. The company is ranked #214 on the Fortune 500 List, with revenues of more than $11 billion in 2010. Four of the company’s restaurant brands – KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver’s and Taco Bell – are the global leaders of the chicken, quick–service seafood, pizza and Mexican–style food categories. A&W Restaurants is the longest running quick–service franchise chain in America. Outside the United States, the Yum! Brands system opened approximately four new restaurants each day of the year, making it a leader in international retail development. The Company has consistently been recognized for its reward and recognition culture, diversity leadership, community giving, and consistent shareholder returns.
WFP is the largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Each year, on average, WFP feeds more than 90 million people in more than 70 countries. For more information, visit www.wfp.org.

[VIDEO] 'MERCY ON ME' COVER BY: ALEX NESTER
Editors Note:
I usually don't like any covers of 'Mercy On Me' besides the one that Demi Lovato did but one of my friends best friends, Alex Nester, kills it when she sings this song. It just gives me chills listening to her sing. Her voice is so raspy and soulful that if she were to cover any of Christina's songs she would do them justice. Take a listen and let me know what you think.

1. CHRISTINA AGUILERA
[SMART-PHONE FRIENDLY]
2. ADELE
3. JOSS STONE
4. AMY WINEHOUSE [R.I.P.]
5. DUFFY
If there were ever any doubts that Christina should top this list, she set them to rest with her performance of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World” at the 2007 Grammy Awards. Even the Godfather of Soul would have been proud. One reason she’s so powerful, Christina sings with her entire body. She feels and enlivens the songs with every fiber of her being. Interestingly enough, she’s the only American in the bunch.

[PAY IT FORWARD] LOOKING FOR A CURE FOR LEUKEMIA, IN HONOR OF AYDIN
One thing that is truly admirable about Christina Aguilera is that she gives back with her devotion to several causes i.e. domestic abuse, world hunger, etc. Not only that, her music and message have helped us get through some of the most difficult times. So we should continue this trend and take a note from Miss Christina, herself, to help those in need.
I have made this page in honour of my nephew Aydin Hassan who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Leukemia is a type of cancer of the blood or bone marrow characterized by an abnormal increase of white blood cells. Leukemia is a broad term covering a spectrum of diseases. In turn, it is part of the even broader group of diseases called hematological neoplasms. In 2000, approximately 256,000 children and adults around the world developed some form of leukemia, and 209,000 died from it. About 90% of all leukemia is diagnosed in adults. Aydin is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments. He is a fighter and we all hope and prey he will overcome this to live a long, happy and healthy life. Just last week he decided to get a jug and ask for gold coin donations to give to charity for others in need. This amazed us, the idea coming from a 6 year old! I wanted to help Aydin out, so created this page to collect small donations for him to put towards the Leukaemia Foundation. Donations can be made at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/zerin_hassan Or to me in person or paypal. 100% of all donations will be going to the Leukeamia Foundation. Thanks for supporting my page. Will keep you all updated on Aydins progress. Much love Aunty Zizi Zerin xx

[SPECIAL REPORT] CONGRATULATIONS, XTINA!
We as fans, can't really ask for anything else from Christina Maria Aguilera. In ONE year, she has released a full LP, Bionic, a ball of bright bursting energy that truly is the greatest album of 2010 no matter what haters have to say about it. She stepped into new artistic territory with her very first feature film, Burlesque, in which she acted her ass off in a debut film. The crossover artists are few when it comes to achieving the kind of success she has in crossing over from singer to silver screen siren. Not to mention the Burlesque soundtrack in which Christina herself had executive producing rights to which gave us 8 more songs/videography from that alone. She has endured personal hardships, and has really come out the better person, striving for inner peace and happiness, and is ready to share her setbacks and triumphs with the entire world...mesmerizing. She is apart of a #1 television show, The Voice, in which she was placed at the forefront of all the promo, doing countless interviews, appearances, and has gained an audience of 12 million + people tuning in each week. She's everywhere. Late Night programs, magazine covers, real unscripted interviews where she's speaking from the heart, a hot new collaboration with Maroon 5. People everywhere are talking about her! We've got to see amazing live performances singing Gnarls Barkley, Queen, her own classics, not to mention the intense coaching snippets we've seen of her attacking songs and teaching her techniques to her apprentices. Speaking of, we've had the wonderful opportunity to see a whole new side to Christina. Her playfulness, her editing eye in regards to vocal gymnastics, her camaraderie with the other 'Voice' coaches, her feisty fiery side, her determination, her emotional investments about her passions, we are TRULY lucky to follow someone so perfectly flawed. What's to come you ask? A new music video for 'Moves Like Jagger' Season 2 of 'The Voice' a new album... astonishing. Thank you Christina! You truly are a godsend inspiration. You're human after all, and that's what we love and respect about you. You're your own person for better or worse. No matter what you're faced with, you get right back up and set an example for us all.
Love,
Love,
Your Fans xoxo ♥

[NEWS] MTV: CHRISTINA AGUILERA, QUEEN OF MERMAID HAIR
Christina Aguilera launched her new fragrance, Royal Desire, in Munich, Germany, earlier today, and her long blonde hair off to one side had her looking a little mermaid-esque to us. We know there's been a lot of talk about mermaids lately, with Lady Gaga hyping some kind of mermaid incantation in her upcoming video (the name's "Yuyi," if you must know) and Katy Perry planking as a mermaid on the set of her latest under the sea adventure. But we have to give props to Xtina for reppin' the long blonde mermaid 'do since way back in the day.
If you travel with me down memory lane for a second, you'll remember that Christina was channeling some sea goddess-inspired locks during her "Lady Marmalade" phase, back when Katy Perry and Lady Gaga were just wee apples in the pop world's eye. And we're not saying there isn't room for many pop star mermaids (never thought I'd type that), we're just saying go ahead and let the mermaid war continue if it must -- Christina's been known to be a "Fighter." With the best mermaid hair ever.

Hallelujah! Finally someone with a brain writes a positive article on MTV about Christina. Finally someone notices that Christina wasn't inspired by other artist like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry and that she had been rocking the mermaid-esque hair since 2001! I love me some Little Mermaidtina!
