[RUMOR] 'STOP THE WORLD' ALLEGED CHRISTINA AGUILERA DEMO BY JUSTIN GARNER

[AUDIO] SONG OF THE DAY: 'MOTHER' COVER BY: CHRISTINA AGUILERA

[SMART-PHONE FRIENDLY]

Editor's Note:
I love this cover of 'Mother' by Christina. It seems her covers and tributes always seem to parallel who she is as a woman, artist, and visionary. With her troubled childhood behind her as she belts, 'Father, you left me, but I never left you,' you can't help but feel her power behind those lyrics. [Joel]

[VIDEO] 'MERCY ON ME' COVER BY: ALEX NESTER

Editors Note:
I usually don't like any covers of 'Mercy On Me' besides the one that Demi Lovato did but one of my friends best friends, Alex Nester, kills it when she sings this song. It just gives me chills listening to her sing. Her voice is so raspy and soulful that if she were to cover any of Christina's songs she would do them justice. Take a listen and let me know what you think.

[AUDIO] 'CASTLE WALLS' HOUSE REMIX BY: LAGUIL

LaGuil - Castle Walls ft. Christina Aguilera (Electro House Remix) by LaGuil
Editors Note:
This has to be, hands down, the best and most upbeat and fun remix of 'Castle Walls' that I have come across. Thank you LaGuil for making such an awesome remix of this song. What do you guys think?

[MULTIMEDIA] CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S BLAZING HOT NEW SONG, 'LA CASA'

Last week, we told you about Christina Aguilera's new project, which basically consisted of her singing her ass off with a rock band, and flaunting her moves like Jagger. Of course, having actual moves like Jagger is near impossible, but during her performance of the song on "The Voice," Christina came damn close.
[SMART-PHONE FRIENDLY]

Today, we bring you yet another, blazing-hot Aguilera song. But, this time, it's en Español. "La Casa," Christina Aguilera's latest offering, is slated to appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming Will Ferrell movie, "La Casa de Mi Padre." But, don't be fooled, mis amigos. Just because "La Casa" isn't your typical sugary pop record doesn't mean it isn't oozing with classic Aguilera riffs and signature Aguilera vocal prowess. Her booming vocals are more impressive and dramatic than ever. Adding to the theatrics, the song is driven by a classic Latin horn section, rendering us pretty much powerless in the face of all of that passion. Queremos más, por favor!

[AUDIO] ADAM LEVINE TALKS COLLABORATION WITH CHRISTINA AGUILERA ON 'MOVES LIKE JAGGER'

During this first season of NBC’s The Voice, the drama hasn’t always been about the contestants.

In fact, critics have speculated that there’s onstage (and offstage) tension between coaches Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera.

So naturally, we were surprised when we heard the two were teaming up for Maroon 5‘s new single, “Moves Like Jagger.’

Our very own Carson Daly premiered the track worldwide this morning on AMP Radio and Adam called in to explain what’s going on behind the scenes!

The new single started trending worldwide on Twitter almost instantly and seems to be well on its way to becoming a summer sensation.

Carson got Adam Levine on the line to talk about working with Christina on both this track and The Voice:

If you missed the world premiere of “Moves Like Jagger” this morning on AMP Radio, take a listen right here!

"You know what, I think it’s going to be a great thing working together because I think she’s an amazing talent. We kind of are stupid, a little bickering on the show, but it doesn’t mean anything, you know? We’re just playing around and I think this will be a testament to the fact that we’re not going to let the reality TV gods pit us against each other."
But remember, The Voice is still a competition and Adam will do whatever it takes to defeat one of Team Xtina‘s strong contenders:
"I wanted Beverly [McClellan]. I really wanted her, but I lost her and now I must destroy her!"
But no matter what, two of Adam’s beloved team members arehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif getting voted off in tonight’s show.

Do you think he’ll get as emotional as Christina did last week? Here’s his take on the situation:
"I love those guys so much and I understand how Blake and Christina felt last week because I’m torn up about it. It’s going to be difficult. The good news is that everyone’s gotten a lot of exposure and a lot of recognition from the show already, so I don’t really consider anyone to be a loser. No one’s lost, but people do have to move forward, so it’ll be tough."

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA & CEE LO GREEN'S 'NASTY'- FIRST LISTEN!

Check out Christina Aguilera’s just released song “Nasty” featuring fellow Voice coach Cee Lo Green!

The track surfaced around the same time Cee Lo appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, where he revealed he and Christina had recorded a duet before appearing on their NBC show.

“We did a song together about a few years ago. It actually was supposed to make the Burlesque soundtrack, but it didn’t make it. But I’ve been seeing people tweet about it lately so I think they’re going to release it,” the 36-year-old singer shared.

[NEWS] CEE LO GREEN: JUDGES TO RETURN FOR SEASON TWO & A POSSIBLE PERFORMANCE OF 'NASTY'

Before NBC's hit singing competition "The Voice" kicks off its finals phase and transitions to live broadcasts beginning June 7, Cee Lo Green tells Billboard.com that he and the other judges -- Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine -- are all likely returning for the show's second season later this year.

"We've already been secured for a second season, so prepare to see a lot more of myself, Christina, Blake and Adam, and a host of great artists doing their thing," says Green. When asked whether or not all four judges will definitely be back, the R&B singer says, "That would be the safe assumption. I haven't heard anything other than that. I'll be there, that's for sure."

'The Voice': Contestants Grapple with Ne-Yo, Marvin Gaye, Who Classics

In the meantime, fans of both Green and Aguilera can check out "Nasty," a new duet that leaked online this month. Green says that he kicked the song around for years before recording a version with Aguilera for the soundtrack of her 2010 movie, "Burlesque."

Although the song wasn't finished in time to make the album, Green says that he's happy it has seen the light of day. "Christina's one of my favorite voices to listen to… They never gave up on that record, and it's a great song," he notes.

While he's not sure if "Nasty" will ever be officially released, he says that he and Aguilera could very well perform the track on an upcoming episode of "The Voice." "Most likely, once the incomparable [executive producer] Mark Burnett hears this song, I wouldn't doubt for a second that he strongly suggests that we would do it," he says.

While Green says that his commitment to "The Voice" -- as well as an arena tour supporting Rihanna that kicks off June 4 -- has made it "increasingly difficult to focus" on new music, but notes that his experience on the reality show has thus far been "very gratifying." He also says that he respectfully disagrees with "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, who described the concept of "The Voice" as "spinning around with gimmicky chairs" in an interview earlier this months.

"Randy is a personal friend of mine, and he is well within his rights to voice his opinion," says Green. "I believe that's a little harsh to say that that's 'gimmicky.' I don't believe that to be true… I believe that it was very savvy of the creators of 'The Voice' to give it a different spin. And that spin gives us an opportunity to co-exist [with 'Idol']. I don't believe we're competing; I believe there is a co-existence."

Following a Grammy performance that combined his hit single "F--k You" with a host of colorful muppets, Green is set to hit the stage at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards -- although he's staying silent as to what he has up his sleeve this time around. "Please allow me to surprise you completely with that performance," he says with a laugh.

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA ENLISTS THE BEST RECORDING EQUIPMENT WITH EQUATOR AUDIO

Los Angeles, CA - July 2009… Known for her exceptional vocal ability, bold approach to music videos, and her ever-changing image, multiple Grammy® Award winning singer/songwriter Christina Aguilera is one of the most successful recording artists of the decade, selling more than 42 million albums worldwide. Ms. Aguilera is, once again, in the studio—working on tracks for her next album. Aguilera’s personal studio is filled with a stunning assortment of world-class recording equipment and, like all artists, she and her creative staff rely on their reference monitors to make critical decisions about her recordings. To ensure that no detail is overlooked, Aguilera and her team look to Equator Audio Research for the accuracy so essential when making a high profile recording.

Recording engineer Oscar Ramirez is one of the key members of Ms. Aguilera’s creative team. Ramirez, who works primarily in the hip hop / R&B genre and has credits on two of Aguilera’s most well-known albums— Stripped and Back to Basics—equipped Aguilera’s studio with a pair of Equator Q15 studio reference monitors and two Q18S subwoofers.

Having spent the better part of the past eight months working with the Q Series monitor system, Ramirez has high praise for the equipment. “Ms. Aguilera’s forthcoming record spans a variety of musical styles,” said Ramirez, “so it was really important that our monitor system be equally capable of handling anything we send it, and that’s where the Equator system shines. Stereo imaging is amazing with the Equator setup—it’s wide and very defined. When you’re in the sweet spot, it’s as though the individual instruments are on stage right in front of you. The ability to hear subtle changes in positioning is one of the real strengths of this system. Also, the frequency response is excellent. It delivers a low end that is very natural with good definition, while the high end is crisp and clean without being harsh. This is an extremely musical monitoring system.”

Presently, Ramirez and the crew are recording tracks and, for this, he believes the Equator Audio Q15’s and Q18s subwoofers are the best possible choice. “The accuracy of the Q15’s is unparalleled, states Ramirez. “With these monitors, you hear exactly what you recorded, so it’s a great choice for deciding whether or not the track is a keeper. We tend to monitor pretty loudly when we’re tracking and, here too, the Equator Audio setup is right on the money. You can play them loud and they remain extremely accurate. Likewise, you can still hear the details at lower levels. Best of all, you can sit in front of these monitors for hours without experiencing ear fatigue.”

“The Q15’s sound great right out of the box,” Ramirez continued, “but when you calibrate your control room for the speakers using Equator Audio’s Secondary Reflection Correction™ (SRC) software, the system’s capability goes up yet another notch. This software is easy to use and it provides the ability to eliminate factors that could compromise a mix. Presently, I’ve created a preset where the sweet spot is a bit wider than it might otherwise be. This is extremely helpful as it enables me to have a bit more freedom to move as I work. Combined, the Equator Audio monitors and software let you mix with confidence. Everything I’ve listened to outside the studio translates really well to other systems, so decisions you make in the control room aren’t going to get lost on some other playback system.”

As he prepared for yet another session, Ramirez offered this final thought about the Equator Audio monitors, “This is an amazing system. It’s very musical throughout the entire frequency range, they get loud without compromising what you hear, and imaging is first rate. When you figure in the capabilities of the SRC software and the fact that the guy’s at Equator Audio are very knowledgeable and ready to help with any questions you might have, there’s little reason to look elsewhere.”

About the Equator Audio Research Q15, Q18S, and Room Analysis SoftwareThe Q15 monitors are a digitally controlled 2-way active 15” woofer/compression driver horn system employing Equator Audio’s Zero-Point Reference coaxial design. They deliver 2400 watts of peak power and 121dB of SPL. Each monitor has an internal CPU which handles a host of tasks including matching the transducers, incorporating the system’s no-slope crossover and enabling networking and room compensation. The Q18 has a down firing 18-inch low frequency transducer with a 4-inch voice coil in a bass reflex enclosure that features a bell shaped base to aid in coupling with the room. It has 2000 watts of peak power and reproduces frequencies below 16 Hz. When networked, the automated software correctly determines the subwoofer’s location (or multiple locations if more than one is used). This ensures proper alignment between the satellites and sub, resulting in phase accurate bass reproduction.

Equator Audio’s Room Analysis SoftwareThis software directs the Q Series’ digitally-controlled transducers to optimize the listening position. The software is an invaluable tool for engineers, producers, and others who find themselves working in different facilities, as it brings a level of consistency to the mix/monitor process.

About Equator Audio ResearchEquator Audio Research is committed to delivering studio reference monitor solutions that overcome the myriad of challenges faced in today’s production environment. Audible obstacles such as comb-filtering from computer screens and consoles, standing waves, uneven first reflections, asymmetrical speaker placement, and poor low frequency diffusion can easily degrade the listening experience. Equator Audio Research designs products that overcome these challenges. Our products are used daily in mission-critical applications at many of the world’s finest recording studios.
