[NEWS] CHRIS MANN DISHES THE DETAILS ABOUT #TEAMXTINA'S DINNER WITH CHRISTINA

Dinner at Christina's house...
By Chris Mann on March 01, 2012 05:01 PM
Pre-dinner predictions:
Tonight Team Christina is going to dinner at...la casa de Christina! When they told us last night she had invited us over we might have squealed like school children at recess. So what. Ha.
I'm really excited to get to spend time with her away from the madness. I don't really know what to expect but I'm sure it'll be fun and she'll give us some good advice or maybe some good stories. Who knows! I'm just gonna focus on not geeking out or being a creep and stealing a lock of her hair or something. Wow...my mind is sick.
I'll update you post dinner/hair stealing.
Post-dinner happenings:

So I've just returned from a beautiful evening at Christina's house. We pulled up to her Beverly Hills home and essentially started freaking out...internally. We were greeted by hors d'oeuvres in her piano room and shortly after by the lady herself dressed in red.
Christina looked gorgeous as usual and immediately wanted us to just chill. The cameras were off and this night was just for us to hang and get to know each other. Really!? Like I ever thought THIS would be happening. Christina's my age and I (and the rest of the team) have been her fan since the beginning--it was surreal/bizarre to be in her home just...chillin' with her. Who woulda thought?
An unfortunate "candle incident" in the dining room delayed dinner a while so we moved to the ARCADE for entertainment! "Really, Christina you were holding out on us here! Pac Man, pool, race cars and pin ball?! I'm glad the dining room went up in smoke...let's play!"

Leland Grant of The Line and I took to the car racing. Christina showed us how to link the games so we could race each other and we were off. I let Leland win so he wouldn't be a sore loser and came in second. Yeah, that's right Leland...I let you win. Ahem...
After some pics with the beautiful women of Christina's team (aka Sera Hill, Hailey Steele and Ashley De La Rosa) we headed into the dining room for a Thanksgiving-esque feast.
Over dinner we toasted to the best and most diverse team of the season. Duh. We also told stories about our home lives and then Sera spilled wine all over Moses. It was some funny shiz. I was nervous too but....hahahaha.
Highlight of dinner was when Christina went to get her camera and came back to announce she had been nominated for TWO GRAMMYS! What?! Yeah...when I go get my camera I just come back with the damn camera, you know! Shiiiiiit. We were the first people to find out with her...another toast!
After dinner we hung in the arcade more before going home to rest up for...our BATTLE ROUND PAIRINGS!!! Duh duh duuuuuuuuh *screams of horror*
On the way home we all took to our cameras to Vlog about the experience...at the same time...and, no, I didn't steal any hair...

[NEWS] CHRIS MANN REVEALS HIS FAVORITE CHRISTINA SONGS & DESCRIBES HER IN 3 WORDS

Chris Mann: Q&A
1) If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
Dubai. I want to play tennis on top of the Burj Al Arab Hotel. Is that too much to ask?! It's the highest tennis court in the world. I'm a huge tennis fan so that would be amazing...unless I fell off.2) Who is your celebrity crush?
Aimee Teegarden from Friday Night Lights. I'm catching up on the whole series on Netflix right now--I'm only 6 years behind. My other crush is Casey Rose Wilson and, well, the entire cast of Happy Endings.3) What song is currently your guilty pleasure?
"Who Says" by Demi Lovato. Guilty as charged.4) Who would play you in a movie?
Ben Stiller...duh. I have a natural Blue Steel face and am also "ridiculously good looking."5) What's your favorite song from your coach?
Genie in a Bottle--the Original. Ironically, I remember seeing the video for the first time on a church ski trip in high school. My other favorite song from Xtina is "Walk Away" from the Stripped album. Wait...I lied--I have the fondest memory of driving from Nashville to Kansas with 2 friends from college and jamming "Infatuation" (from the 2002 Winter Olympics live version) the whole way. The extremely white announcer and the hand clapping breakdown at the end are noteworthy.6) What was your first concert ever?
Hmmm, I don't really remember...I feel like it was a Brain McKnight concert in Kansas City where my friend and I snuck back stage after the show. This is a talent I've always had. Later in life I went to another Brian McKnight concert in Nashville and snuck back stage AGAIN using a Kit Kat Bar wrapper disguised as a back stage pass--I told him he needed to improve his security detail.7) Tattoos?
Four. One on my forearm in Italian that says "Canto e Vivo" meaning "I sing and I live" and another on my (bulging) bicep in Coptic meaning "Without limits." I also have one on my back in Coptic that says "Dreams, Determination, Success and Faith" in a circle around the Chi Rho symbol. My newest one is on my left forearm--it's a chain with a roman numeral 5 hanging from it meaning "fifth time's a charm." I've been knocked down so many times on this musical journey but I keep getting up and trying again. For me it ain't "third time's a charm"...that one happened years ago.8) My last text message says:
My tattoos are basically my road map in life. I'm planning my next one now...it's going to be a map of Hogwarts on my lower back.
"I love you very much"9) People would be surprised to learn that I have ____ on my iPod.
Hardly any classical music. I love me some British Rock, Top 40 and...drum roll please...country music! (I'm actually a big Blake Shelton fan. I keep tryin' to win 'em over. Here's hopin'.)10) My coach in 3 words:
1) GenuineSource: NBC
2) Gifted
3) Gorgeous
[VIDEO] CHRIS MANN ALWAYS WANTED TO SING WITH CHRISTINA AGUILERA
WICHITA, Kansas -- Local boy makes good. Chris Mann was a hit on "The Voice" on NBC after the Superbowl.
"He always wanted to sing with Christina Aguillera," says mom, Patti, in Northeast Wichita this week after the show. "He always wanted to sing with her. Seeing him on stage with her was a thrill."
Patti and Mike always believed their son would hit it big. They believed.
"We've been through the ups and downs," says dad, Mike. "The highs the lows. The elation. Getting his first job."
Mike and Patti were at the recording of the big show.
"When he came out, we were still cheering for him," says Mike.
Chris got on the stage at The Voice and began singing his own brand of music. Something called classical crossover artistry.
The first judge on the show to go for Chris was artist/judge Cee Lo. Though Cee Lo wasn't sure what to make of Chris, singing in another language.
"You are from America, right?" asked Cee Lo on the big stage.
"I'm from Kansas," Chris said with a broad smile.
Kansas. A point of pride for Chris and both his parents. Chris cut his singing teeth at Wichita Southeast High, where he worked with WSU voice coaches. Chris was also a boy scout, tennis player, and fun-loving little brother to his sister, now an attorney in Wichita.
"We always knew he was incredibly talented," said Patti. "But he's just always wanted to sing with Christina. So to see him on stage with her after she picked him... did you see the hug she gave him?"
Pop sensation Christina Aguillera was the second judge on the show to pick Chris.
"Just let that voice go," said Aguillera of the unique style Mann showcased. "And you did."
Patti and Mike say Chris is thrilled to be moving on in the show. They're especially proud he was able to move forward with his own unique sound.
"He's got a variety of styles and ranges," says Mike "He loves the old style music of guys like Frank Sinatra. Loves the old singers."
So is Chris going to be the next Harry Connick Jr. or maybe Josh Groban?
"Oh, don't call him Josh Groban," says Patti. "Even though he's already good friends with Josh Groban. Chris will tell you he has his own style."
"Chris has been working on this for some time. He's already his own brand. He's a writer as well and he has a lot of music on the lifetime and E! Channel. He sang on Avatar. It's all on his website. He loves singing on Disney movies. He's a warbler with Glee. He's been doing many things... All with his big voice."
That big voice with the unique sound is moving on. He's not done on The Voice.
Catch The Voice, and Wichita's own Chris Mann, on NBC on the Kansas State Network.
