Le Tigre wrote and produced "My Girls", from Bionic, Christina Aguilera's latest album. How was it to work with her?

It was wonderful. She's an incredible artist, an excellent mother and a very funny person. It was fun, very natural. I didn't have an impression that working with her was any different than working with Le Tigre or MEN. I felt it was a great collaboration.

I felt I was lucky to work with her, considering she's a very relevant woman to the feminist movement.

How were you invited to work with her?

My girlfriend was working with her and Aguilera asked her to get us in touch.

Did you work on other songs?

Yeah, we ended up with two songs, "My Girls" and another one (Listen Up) that they might hold for the next album, or maybe not even that.

I have heard some demos they are strong," he said in an email exchange with American Radio Presenter Toby Knapp. Riccitelli would know as it's his job to make sure AGUILERA'S songs get on the radio. Fans who are looking forward to new Christina Aguilera music need to be patient; Christina is working on making her almost-perfect voice even more perfect. She is working with acclaimed voice coach Seth Riggs.

This column is told that on her next album, you won’t hear Christina over-sing in the way that she has been criticized on her previous albums. She will also hit higher and lower notes. William Orbit is still on board for the album, though they haven’t worked in the studio together yet; William is finishing up Madonna’s next album.

[NEWS] 'I'M WRITING SO MUCH. I'VE BEEN INSPIRED BY...THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE HIGHS, THE LOWS...'

Christina Aguilera will never put movies before her music career.

The 30-year-old star made her film debut last year in 'Burlesque', and while she is looking for more cinematic projects, she insists her main focus will always be as a singer.

She said: "I'm always reading scripts. 'Burlesque' was something that came to my door that I was truly inspired to do. It was the right time and place for me to dive into that world I've always been inspired by.

"But I'm not going to do back-to-back movies just to do them. Music is always my first love and where my time and attention will remain.

"But film is something that will be on my mind and I am looking for the next project."

Christina split from her husband Jordan Bratman - the father of her three-year-old son Max - last year and she admits their break-up and subsequent divorce has inspired some tracks for her next album.

She told Britain's Hello! magazine: "I'm in the studio now working on my next album and I'm writing so much. I've been inspired by a lot over the past year, the experiences I've had, the good, the bad, the highs, the lows - it will all be apparent in the lyrics.

"The mood of the album will be very introspective, heartfelt and deep rooted."

[NEWS] ADAM LEVINE: I LOVED CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S DELIVERY ON 'MOVES LIKE JAGGER'

Adam Levine has praised his fellow Voice judge Christina Aguilera's feature on Maroon 5's hit 'Moves Like Jagger'.

The band's frontman told Parade that he was pleased to see Aguilera take part in a track which is "very different" from her usual solo material.

"It was awesome. She's super talented. I fully trusted her to do her thing. She's a pro. I love how restrained and held back it was. It's very different for her. I loved her delivery," he explained.

Levine also revealed that the success of 'Moves Like Jagger' has added extra enjoyment to Maroon 5's summer tour.

"It's been great. There's so much more buzz now surrounding the record. It's building up again. We're so happy for the success that we've had," he said.

"We kind of had a reintroduction to the world through The Voice and the single 'Moves Like Jagger' is blowing up. Everything is just incredible right now. We're very happy and very fired-up."

Christina Aguilera has been recording new songs with Madonna’s “Ray of Light” producer William Orbit and Bruce Springsteen’s producer Brendon O’Brien. “She is going to hit a home run with this one and show everybody that you can’t forget what talent means,” says program director Jared Stelling.

I think I'm most proud of this work than I have ever been, just because I have worked with so many amazing and incredible talented people, a lot of different collaborations, working with a lot of artists that I really love and listen to, respect and admire. Sia, the singer, songwriter has done some work with "Breathe Me," one of her main, amazing beautiful songs, we did a lot of work on this record together and she's just a complete gem, she's truly just a talented force to be reckoned with and I so enjoyed her company. I think we really created some super crazy magic together. I got the chance to sort of write with Santogold, M.I.A., Ladytron, artists that I really love. The overall versatility of this record is truly something special for me, I actually experimented with so many types of textures and sounds of my voice that I've never showcased and I've never even really knew that I could do. Working with so many different people, I really kind of wanted to step into their worlds, them into my world, and just get the best of both worlds and see what happened, and really experiment which is honestly what I try to do with every record so that I'm not making the same song over and over, and over again. I really like to step outside of my own box and really check out artists and this was the first time that I really collaborated with so many at once and it was just so exciting for me and the result was just magic and I just can't wait to share it all with you guys. I'm dying to share some of my titles of the record, some of the songs off the album because they're really special and just interesting to hear within itself, but soon enough guys, soon enough, I promise that it will be well worth the wait. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy on the record and as I said it's versatility is really special and it's something that I've never actually done before and being so versatile both vocally and musically, a lot of good stuff in store.

[NEWS] TRICKY STEWART TALKS ABOUT CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S NEW ALBUM

Tricky Stewart has not only been busy working on new projects for Ciara, Rihanna, Diddy, and The-Dream, but also Christina Aguilera’s long-awaited fourth studio album. The producer with the Midas touch let Rap-Up.com in on a few secrets from his recording sessions with the pop princess.

“I’m working on Christina Aguilera’s album for next year,” Tricky told Rap-Up.com in an exclusive interview.



The follow-up to 2006’s Back to Basics has been described as a departure from her past efforts. “It’s just great. I wouldn’t say that it’s alternative, I wouldn’t say that it’s different,” he shared. “Christina’s always been an artist that moves the bar and that’s what the great ones do. They don’t stay in the same place for too long and this album is just another move for her.”



The hitmaking machine behind Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” believes this album will take its place among Aguilera’s best work. “I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped. I think it’s really, really amazing and I think it’s well put together.”



The record has something for everyone. “She’s mixing it up again. She’s singing R&B again, she’s doing pop. She’s doing it all, but she’s found a way to make it all meet in the middle because she’s so many different things. She’s a real serious musician, she’s a real serious pop artist, and she’s a real serious singer. She’s making all her audiences happy at the same time.”



The mother of one had previously revealed a collaboration with M.I.A. “I know that she did it,” confirmed Tricky, “and I know that there’s a lot of other cool features, like I know that she has Santigold and Flo Rida on there.”



Tricky enlisted the “Right Round” rapper for one of the cuts. “I put Flo Rida on my record because I love what he does. I think sometimes he doesn’t get credit for being as dope as he is, but he’s really dope.”



Fans will have to wait until next year for the album while the pop star focuses on Burlesque, her musical co-starring Cher. “She’s gonna do the film first. She didn’t want to not be able to promote this record because it’s gonna be a big record for her,” explained Tricky.



But rest assured that the futuristic-sounding project is on its way. “The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.”

Stereo imaging is amazing with the Equator setup—it’s wide and very defined. When you’re in the sweet spot, it’s as though the individual instruments are on stage right in front of you. The ability to hear subtle changes in positioning is one of the real strengths of this system. Also, the frequency response is excellent. It delivers a low end that is very natural with good definition, while the high end is crisp and clean without being harsh. This is an extremely musical monitoring system.”



Presently, Ramirez and the crew are recording tracks and, for this, he believes the Equator Audio Q15’s and Q18s subwoofers are the best possible choice. “The accuracy of the Q15’s is unparalleled, states Ramirez. “With these monitors, you hear exactly what you recorded, so it’s a great choice for deciding whether or not the track is a keeper. We tend to monitor pretty loudly when we’re tracking and, here too, the Equator Audio setup is right on the money. You can play them loud and they remain extremely accurate. Likewise, you can still hear the details at lower levels. Best of all, you can sit in front of these monitors for hours without experiencing ear fatigue.”



“The Q15’s sound great right out of the box,” Ramirez continued, “but when you calibrate your control room for the speakers using Equator Audio’s Secondary Reflection Correction™ (SRC) software, the system’s capability goes up yet another notch. This software is easy to use and it provides the ability to eliminate factors that could compromise a mix. Presently, I’ve created a preset where the sweet spot is a bit wider than it might otherwise be. This is extremely helpful as it enables me to have a bit more freedom to move as I work. Everything I’ve listened to outside the studio translates really well to other systems, so decisions you make in the control room aren’t going to get lost on some other playback system.”



As he prepared for yet another session, Ramirez offered this final thought about the Equator Audio monitors, “This is an amazing system. It’s very musical throughout the entire frequency range, they get loud without compromising what you hear, and imaging is first rate. When you figure in the capabilities of the SRC software and the fact that the guy’s at Equator Audio are very knowledgeable and ready to help with any questions you might have, there’s little reason to look elsewhere.”
