CHRISTINA'S OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMANCE

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Christina Aguilera says she flubbed a line as she belted out the national anthem at the start of the Super Bowl after getting lost in the moment and losing her place.

She says in a statement, "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of it's anthem still came through."

When she was supposed to sing the line "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming," she instead repeated an earlier line, with a slight variation.

She sang "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming," which is the same line from earlier in the song but with the word 'watched' instead of 'hailed.'

The mistake immediately set social networks abuzz with people commenting on the error.

  1. actually im not anymore your an adult age and have a child...i think your behavior is extremely inappropriate for him. Later it will screw him up ...i guess thats what you got from hanging out with CHER...she really did a great job on her kids not to mention gyrating on a cannon in front of her teen son half naked and then sticking her butt in his face. SHe a class act too. Hope you read this get some therapy we all question our exsistence but try not to affect our kids. Your raunchy videos are out of style unless you want to be associated with all the old wh***s of the past(madonna).

Your voice is a gift I enjoy it , b ut not if i have to recall you on drugs or acting like a heroin addict in the street. Your mother and grandmother sacrificed alot ...remember that, and maybe you will think of what you are setting as an example for your CHILD. Best of luck you will need it the world is an ugly place no matter how much money you have. Be a warrior for your son, he needs you and your reputation to get through this life. An Ex-fan.
