[NEWS] FRENCHIE DAVIS: CHRISTINA AGUILERA 'REALLY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT HELPING US'

Frenchie Davis feels that she's in good hands.

The Voice finalist, whose American Idol disqualification is now nine years behind her, sat down with E! News to dish on what it's like having Christina Aguilera as a mentor and how she thinks America will be pleasantly surprised to hear what Xtina is really like.

"America will be pleasantly surprised to learn that Christina kinda has, like, a mama bear, nurturing kind of personality when she deals with us," Davis says of her Grammy-winning coach on the show.

Aguilera picked Davis to be on her team during the blind auditions, then Davis topped teammate Tarralyn Ramsey in the battle round and will move on to the voters'-choice live round, which starts in a couple weeks once all the battles have been waged.)

"Christina's a really insightful coach," Davis continues, "and what's really wonderful about her is that she's really invested. I get the feeling that she really gives a damn about helping us evolve into better singers, better performers. And every interaction I have with her, I walk away loving her just a little bit more."

Awww. And, no offense to Top Model-style Tyra Mail, Davis adds, but getting texts from Christina is "super exciting."

"It is kind of surreal," she says. "When you for years admire and respect these people for these talents and you meet them, and not only do you meet them, they say to you, 'I see something in you, and I'd love to help you cultivate that.' That's surreal, it's amazing."

Also in the video above, Davis talks about battling Tarralyn and what she thinks is the major difference between The Voice and American Idol. (Guess which show comes out on top in her eyes.)
