[NEWS] PEOPLE: ADAM AND BLAKE'S THOUGHTS ON CHRISTINA AGUILERA

PEOPLE: Everyone wants to know: Is it true you guys don't get along with Christina because you think she's a diva?

BLAKE: Christina's a diva – one of the greatest-female-vocalists-of-all-time kind of diva. And with that comes confidence. But a lot of the times, it's just misunderstood. She shows up and works her ass off. I actually get along with her awesomely. But I won't say we haven't had arguments before.

ADAM: She's often the target of negative criticism, and I want to defend her. We can't underestimate the fact that she's the only girl [on The Voice]. There are three frat boys doing this, and she's got to deal with our nonsense. I feel the need to kind of speak up and say, "Leave her alone, man."

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S VOCAL PROFILE

Christina Aguilera
Vocal Type: Mezzo- Soprano
Vocal Range: 4 octaves. C3- C7
Whistle Register:Yes
Longest Note: 20 seconds - 'At last' (live)
Vocal Pluses: Christina Aguilera has a very nimble and dexterous voice that allows for incredible vocal runs and for her to able to jump between the different parts of her range with ease. Also has the stamina to hold notes for extended periods of time, with or without vibrato.

The midrange is heavy and thick- more so in recent years- and it is where the voice is most comfortable. The texture of her voice, particularly her belted notes, is unique with a coarse, throaty edge to it when sung without mixing. This texture can be eliminated, producing a smoother tone, when the voice is mixed effectively but the sound produced is lighter and less resonate. The head voice can be either bright and piercing or delicate and airy, depending on what is called for artistically.

Vocal Negatives: The higher, coarser chest notes- above a C5- tends to be forced, pulled and unhealthy. Though it should be noted many fans cite the sound produced as a plus to her voice, despite it being achieved via questionable vocal means. Although able to sing in the whistle register the notes produced tend be labored and require a vocal run to access.

[NEWS] THE JUDGES OF 'AMERICAN IDOL' BANNED FROM MENTIONING 'THE VOICE'!

Is there a cutthroat competition brewing between ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Voice’? HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that ‘AI’ producer Nigel Lythgoe is ordering the show’s judges not to utter the words ‘The Voice’ under any circumstances!

It sounds like Nigel Lythgoe wants American Idol viewers to stay focused on his reality singing competition and not that other one on NBC.

We just learned that Nigel is mandating judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler to not use the term “The Voice” under any circumstances — and we can understand why.

The Voice is averaging 19.4 million viewers, while its Fox predecessor is averaging 18 million viewers.

Regardless, Nigel’s mandate seems to be in full effect; just last night on AI‘s March 7th episode, judge Steven Tyler referred to contestant Jessica Sanchez as “the one” among the Top 13 remaining hopefuls.

[NEWS] 'THE VOICE'S' CHRISTINA AGUILERA AND LIONEL RICHIE: 'HOW TO MILK YOUR MOMENT' (VIDEO)

NBC’s The Voice moves into battle rounds on Monday and you know that means? The coaches get their first chance to deliver on the promises they made to the performers during the blind rounds. And part of that comes from their choice of guest mentors.

On Monday’s episode, Christina Aguilera brings in the iconic soul, R&B, and pop star Lionel Richie.

“I just thought it was important to bring on people who would know how to give advice,” Christina told reporters at TCA. “A lot of artists in the business are true artists in the sense that that’s all that they do, and they’re great at being that. But it does take a certain level of skill and approachability to be able to know how to go into a situation and coach an up and coming artist.”

“So, yeah,” she continues. “Who better than someone as classic and legendary as Lionel Richie?”

No one is arguing with that – especially Team Christina performer Jesse Campbell. The single dad has given up a lot to pursue his music career and he’s thrilled to get advice from the superstar.

[NEWS] CHRIS MANN REVEALS HIS FAVORITE CHRISTINA SONGS & DESCRIBES HER IN 3 WORDS

Chris Mann: Q&A

1) If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
Dubai. I want to play tennis on top of the Burj Al Arab Hotel. Is that too much to ask?! It's the highest tennis court in the world. I'm a huge tennis fan so that would be amazing...unless I fell off.
2) Who is your celebrity crush?
Aimee Teegarden from Friday Night Lights. I'm catching up on the whole series on Netflix right now--I'm only 6 years behind. My other crush is Casey Rose Wilson and, well, the entire cast of Happy Endings.
3) What song is currently your guilty pleasure?
"Who Says" by Demi Lovato. Guilty as charged.
4) Who would play you in a movie?
Ben Stiller...duh. I have a natural Blue Steel face and am also "ridiculously good looking."
5) What's your favorite song from your coach?
Genie in a Bottle--the Original. Ironically, I remember seeing the video for the first time on a church ski trip in high school. My other favorite song from Xtina is "Walk Away" from the Stripped album. Wait...I lied--I have the fondest memory of driving from Nashville to Kansas with 2 friends from college and jamming "Infatuation" (from the 2002 Winter Olympics live version) the whole way. The extremely white announcer and the hand clapping breakdown at the end are noteworthy.
6) What was your first concert ever?
Hmmm, I don't really remember...I feel like it was a Brain McKnight concert in Kansas City where my friend and I snuck back stage after the show. This is a talent I've always had. Later in life I went to another Brian McKnight concert in Nashville and snuck back stage AGAIN using a Kit Kat Bar wrapper disguised as a back stage pass--I told him he needed to improve his security detail.
7) Tattoos?
Four. One on my forearm in Italian that says "Canto e Vivo" meaning "I sing and I live" and another on my (bulging) bicep in Coptic meaning "Without limits." I also have one on my back in Coptic that says "Dreams, Determination, Success and Faith" in a circle around the Chi Rho symbol. My newest one is on my left forearm--it's a chain with a roman numeral 5 hanging from it meaning "fifth time's a charm." I've been knocked down so many times on this musical journey but I keep getting up and trying again. For me it ain't "third time's a charm"...that one happened years ago.

My tattoos are basically my road map in life. I'm planning my next one now...it's going to be a map of Hogwarts on my lower back.
8) My last text message says:
"I love you very much"
9) People would be surprised to learn that I have ____ on my iPod.
Hardly any classical music. I love me some British Rock, Top 40 and...drum roll please...country music! (I'm actually a big Blake Shelton fan. I keep tryin' to win 'em over. Here's hopin'.)
10) My coach in 3 words:
1) Genuine

2) Gifted

3) Gorgeous

Christina Aguilera (@TheRealXtina) reacts to #WhitneyHouston's passing:

[NEWS] CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S PUBLICIST RESPONDS TO UPCOMING RELEASE DATE RUMORS

So there isn't anymore confusion, I talked to Christina's publicist and this is straight from her.
"There is no confirmed album release date and there is no confirmed single title at this time. Once this information is decided we will share it with the press."
Source: ChristinaVIP

Editor's Note:
This news comes as no surprise to us given that the past predictions from alleged 'insiders' did not come true. Although we (AguileraOnline) have been following all rumors thus far, we personally have taken each rumor with a grain of salt despite getting our hopes up. We perceive rumors as talking points and creatively constructive, but still recognize that there is really no concrete proof. Although this news could be deemed 'disappointing' we realize that we were following bridges to nowhere and have conceded to having any expectations about any upcoming releases by Christina Aguilera. We know it's difficult to be in the pre-release time frame while speculations run rampart and patience wears thin, but we're able to redirect our focus thankfully to the new season of NBC's 'The Voice.' The fact we can see Christina at least once a week is satisfying and helps 'Aid our Aguilera Addictions™' (Shameless tagline plug). We hope fellow #fighters are with us in practicing patience regardless how inevitable it may be. Everything happens for a reason, we trust Christina's judgment and speculate she is calculating and examining every detail surrounding her mainstream musical comeback. We'll continue to do what we can to keep our followers happy and satisfied. Thanks for hearing us out.

[NEWS] LA TIMES: 'THE VOICE' RECAP - SEASON 2 PREMIERE SPINS US AROUND

It took me all of about a minute to understand why everyone is all excited about NBC's "The Voice," a show I didn't watch last year, in its inaugural season, apart from a few late-season clips on YouTube. What took me so long? I don't know. I guess I felt like my plate was already heaped with televised singing, since I also recap "Glee," "American Idol," "The X Factor" and "America's Got Talent" for Show Tracker.

But I had no idea what I was missing until tuning in after the Super Bowl for Sunday night's Season 2 premiere (Part 2 of the premiere airs Monday night). Now that I've hit my button and turned my thronelike chair around to behold its parade of talent and entertaining judge interplay (The judges have to compete for the contestants' affection, just as the contestants have to compete for theirs? Genius!), well, I'm standing up and applauding, maybe reaching over and hitting another judge's button. ... You get the idea. I'm pleased to be tasked with recapping it for you this season. We're gonna have fun.

So five singers were picked by the judge/mentors on Sunday night's show. We also saw a few who sadly failed to spin a single throne. (Poor Daniel Rosa!)

Here's who got the nod on Sunday:

RaeLynn: This 17-year-old, blond-locked country singer and Texas farm girl (sporting a whopping red flower that matched her smudgy red lipstick) sang Miranda Lambert's "Hell on Heels," a risky move given that judge Blake Shelton is married to Lambert. But ("Thank you, Jesus"?) the risk paid off: Both Adam Levine and Shelton hit their buttons to spin their "I Want You" thrones. And after they faced RaeLynn, they faced off with each other. Shelton coughed that he could make RaeLynn a country star. Levine, who mentored last year's winning contestant, Javier Colon, countered, "Why would you want to be just a country star? Wouldn't you want to be even bigger than that?" Yeah, not a winning tack. RaeLynn opts to be mentored by the husband of her "inspiration," Shelton.

Jesse Campbell: This 42-year-old single dad, whose wife left him with their young daughter after his musical career failed to take off, managed to get back on his feet after a stint living without a home, sleeping in his car with his daughter on his chest. He's now getting by as a church and wedding singer, and his vocal prowess on "A Song for You" captured the attention and interest of all four judges. Ultimately, it seemed to come down to Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, who tangled like little devils over who would get Campbell's soul. "From the moment you opened up your mouth, I said that's my man. That's my brother," Green said. "I was feeling the soul too, even though I'm not, you know, the same color as Cee Lo," Aguilera said. "Hey, Christina," countered Green. "Everybody's the same color with the lights off." Campbell went with Aguilera. "You said you would fight for me, and I'm ready to fight," he said.

Juliet Simms: This 25-year-old, raspy-voiced rocker from Florida spins Levine, Green and, eventually, Aguilera with her down-on-her-knees take on "Oh! Darling." After Levine and Aguilera spar and Green dismisses what he deems to be their "sexual tension," Green introduces his own element of sexual tension. "Baby, I am so thoroughly impressed and in awe of you. You turn me on," Green growls. "Your voice is amazing. I heard the story of myself and my life in that performance. You look great. I love your style. I love your energy. Oh, my God." Simms picks Cee Lo.

Chris Mann: This suit-wearing, blue-eyed, 29-year-old Kansan, who studied opera at Vanderbilt University, explains that he's pursuing his music career backed by his mom, who's struggling with pancreatic cancer -- the same disease that killed Steve Jobs. Then he goes out there and sings Andrea Bocelli's "Because We Believe," prompting first Green, then Aguilera, to turn around. Green asked him why he chose that song. "It's been hard for me. I've been at it for a while," Mann said. "And I've tried to shrink my voice down to fit. But I decided for this show, I was going to just sing like myself." Green told him his team was the one to choose "If you want to be yourself." But Aguilera said, "I know what to do with real vocalists." Mann went with Aguilera.

Tony Lucca: This former Mouseketeer may have shared the TV screen with Aguilera during their youth, but she doesn't seem to share too many of his fond memories (or any memories, really). Lucca explains that while a lot of his Mickey Mouse Club cohort pursued pop stardom, he traveled the country singing in clubs. Now he's got a pretty wife and cute son and another shot at big-time fame. His take on Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble" prompts first Levine, then Aguilera (who doesn't seem to recognize her old cast mate), then Shelton to hit their buttons. Green's back remains to Lucca until Levine hops up and presses Green's button too. Levine heaps praise on Lucca (whose name Aguilera fails to recognize as well), and everyone else seems to be hanging back a bit to let Levine make his plea. "For the record, I pushed two buttons. Which is the first time in the history of 'The Voice.' That's never happened before. Please, please, for the love of God, pick me." Lucca does pick Levine. And the spin back around in the chair (or perhaps a voice in her earpiece) seems to shake some Mouseketeer memory loose under Aguilera's mass of hair. She schleps backstage to congratulate Lucca -- and rewards him for his patience by telling him Britney Spears had a crush on him. Awww.

What did you think of the first part of "The Voice" premiere Sunday night?

[NEWS] BLAKE SHELTON: 'CHRISTINA AGUILERA WAS MY FREE PASS BEFORE I WED'

Country star Blake Shelton left his fellow 'The Voice' coach Christina Aguilera stunned when he confessed to a major crush on her - because she was convinced the country star didn't like her.

The odd couple was getting to know each other on the set of the hit TV talent show when Aguilera asked Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert for pointers, and she revealed that she had once gifted her man a signed Aguilera tour book - and he was thrilled.

Aguilera started to see Shelton in a different light - especially when he told her she was his "free pass" before he wed Lambert, suggesting that the new Mrs. Shelton had agreed she'd be OK if her man cheated on her with Aguilera.

Shelton tells Rolling Stone, "I'll never forget the look on her face."

[NEWS] RIHANNA HINTS AT A POSSIBLE CHRISTINA AGUILERA COLLABORATION WITH CAKE?

If there's one thing Rihanna has shown us over the past couple of years (besides a fondness for the smell of, erm, "sex in the air"), it's that she isn't exactly against collaborating with other artists.

Now it seems Christina Aguilera is next on her list, after the 'You Da One' hit maker posted a series of tweets to her Twitter account suggesting a hook-up with the talent show judge will be released in the very near future.

Referencing a short track on her new album Talk That Talk that is expected to be re-released as a full-length song, she said: "Would y'all be mad if Birthday #CAKE became a single?

"Now here's the trick question! #IF I put collaborator on it, who would u wanna see lick the icing off????? #CAKE"

Appearing to reference one of Aguilera's most successful singles, she teased: "I need somebody #DIRRRTY on my Birthday #CAKE ;) lol"

Would you like to see Christina and RiRi join forces?

A trailer for the Bajan 23-year-old's new film 'Battleship' premiered during last night's Super Bowl.
