[NEWS] 'BURLESQUE' CASTMATE FEELING THE PAIN

Kristen Bell is in a lot of pain these days.

"I've started dance rehearsals and my neck is sore and my inner thighs are so sore," Bell told me at last night's Vanity Fair-hosted launch of Guess?'s new T-shirt benefiting Invisible Children.

No, the actress is not training for a stint on Dancing With the Stars. She's getting ready to start shooting Burlesque, director Steve Antin's upcoming drama in which she and Christina Aguilera costar as rivals at a Hollywood burlesque club owned by a former dancer played by Cher.

Rounding out the cast is Twilight stud Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough and Stanley Tucci.

So just how much skin will Bell and the other young starlets be flashing in the film? Sounds like a lot, but...

"My character is fun and sexy but not a stripper," Bell said. "There is no nudity, and there are no pasties and G-strings."

Her costumes include Madonna-esque cone bras and "Marilyn Monroe boy shorts—the high-waisted panties kind of thing," Bell explained.

"It's very artistic burlesque," she said. "Burlesque is a tease. It's not meant to really give that much away because that wouldn't be considered a tease. It would be considered giving away the goods."

Dancing aside, Bell may end up—gulp!—singing with Xtina. It's not something the former Veronica Mars star is looking forward to.

"There's a competition between the two of us," she said. "I really want to sing and she's allowed to sing at the club so we fight...In the end when all is well, they may sing together. I almost wish they wouldn't, because I would rather just listen to Christina."

Rumor has it that this movie could bring Christina her first Golden Globe Nomination! AND IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN FILMED YET!!!! TWEET THIS!!!

Here is a comment by onemanorchestra about Burlesque on IMDb's website:

"Chill you guys! Cher actually is an amazing actress and singer. Christina is an amazing singer. When Cher wanted to act people laughed at her, but the second film she shot in her acting career earned her an Oscar nomination, the year after that she won the damn thing.

Acting and singing isn't that different. You need to believe the message the people on or the ones singing the song are telling you. I believe Cher when she's singing and when she's acting. I believe Christina when she's singing, so i'll probably believe her when she's acting.

I've never believed a word Mariah Carey or Britney Spears sang to me. I didn't believe what they told me in their movies.

I'm not worried...

Cher's a talented actress and she'll look after Christina, and vice versa, if one of them looks bad, they both will.

I am looking forward to this movie. A new Chicago/Moulin Rouge kind of thing? I'm game, especially with those two amazing women. And especially especially if they'll do a duet!"

[NEWS] RECIPE FOR AMAZING ENTERTAINMENT: 2 DIVAS + 1 HOTTIE = AMAZEBALLS

Caliente.

Twilight's Cam Gigandet just signed on to star in Burlesque, a musical film, opposite Cher and Christina Aguilera.

"It's about a girl from the Midwest who moves out to Los Angeles to pursue her career as a singer," explains Cam. "Obviously, it's Christina Aguilera, so she has an amazing voice. She finds a club run by Cher, a burlesque club. And she takes it to a whole new level and, of course, meets me — the love of her life."

The film has been highly anticipated since it was announced last June and the hottie may be just what the movie needs by way of teenage girl appeal.

"I am a struggling piano player, and I'm currently working as a bartender at Cher's burlesque club," said Gigandet of his character. "Christina and I meet, fall in love, and drama ensues."

But, can he sing and dance?!

Absolutely not, he claims, but, "It's a very sexy, sexy movie."

We're not sure if he can act either, but remove that shirt and we'll believe anything he says!

[NEWS] 'TWILIGHT' STAR: CAM GIGANDET TO GET 'SEXY' WITH CHRISTINA AGUILERA IN 'BURLESQUE'

SANTA MONICA, California — One is a living legend in music and movies, the other is a living legend about to make her movie debut. Now, Christina Aguilera and Cher are being joined by a red-hot "Twilight" star who will be appearing in his first musical opposite the two famous females: Cam Gigandet.

"I'm shooting a movie called 'Burlesque' with Christina Aguilera in her acting debut," revealed Gigandet when he stopped by the MTV studio recently. "And Cher."

X-tina's fans have been eager to learn details on "Burlesque" since the project was announced last June, especially since it will mark her big-screen debut. Now questions about how good an actress she'll be are made a bit easier by the news that she'll have a talented leading man acting opposite her.

"It's about a girl from the Midwest who moves out to Los Angeles to pursue her career as a singer," explained Gigandet, whose busy post-"Twilight" schedule has him releasing the sci-fi flick "Pandorum" this weekend. "Obviously, it's Christina Aguilera, so she has an amazing voice. She finds a club run by Cher, a burlesque club. And she takes it to a whole level and, of course, meets me — the love of her life.

"I am a struggling piano player, and I'm currently working as a bartender at Cher's burlesque club," Gigandet said of his character. "Christina and I meet, fall in love, and drama ensues."

The next question is an obvious one for "Twilight" fans: Will Cam sing and dance? When we asked the star, he hesitated to even call "Burlesque" a musical. "That's interesting — I don't know. There's music in it, and they do sing. I mean, they're at a burlesque club, so they do sing and dance," he explained. "It's a very sexy, sexy movie."

But this much Cam would confirm: He will not be singing any two-part harmonies with his new leading lady. "Oh right, a duet with me and Christina?" he laughed, looking forward to the film that begins shooting in December. "That would be like Kermit the Frog and Christina. I can't sing."
