Christina Aguilera Reveals New Album Title and New Single

Christina Aguilera is going back to the future. The pop star has announced a title and tentative first single for her fourth studio album.

Aguilera’s first effort in over three years is titled Bionic and is due in March. In an interview with Marie Claire for the February issue, the mother of one says her latest work “is about the future.” Her son Max inspired the overall direction and the song “Lullaby,” a collaboration with Australian singer Sia. Other songs include the electronic title track and “Sex for Breakfast” produced by Focus and Detail.

The first single is likely to be a Tricky Stewart production called “Glam,” which the magazine describes as “a poppy, hip-hop-inflected throwback to Madonna’s ‘Vogue.’”

Tricky spoke exclusively to Rap-Up.com about the project last year. “I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped,” said the hitmaker, who’s also producing the soundtrack to her musical Burlesque. “She’s mixing it up again. She’s singing R&B again, she’s doing pop. She’s doing it all, but she’s found a way to make it all meet in the middle.”

Aguilera has also collaborated with Flo Rida, Santigold, M.I.A., and Ladytron for the album, her first of all-new material since 2006’s Back to Basics.
