Recorded in her home studio, Christina Aguilera's as-yet-untitled fourth studio album shows her dabbling in rap and dance and boasts an intriguing array of collaborators: Linda Perry, Sia Furler & Sam Dixon, Chris "Tricky" Stewart & Claude Kelly, Santigold,M.I.A., John Hill & Dave Switch, Ladytron and Le Tigre. The album will also have empowering ballads, including the Perry-produced "Lift Me Up." The project is a departure from 2006's "Back to Basics"-a soul- and hip-hop-fusing tribute to such inspirations as Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James andBillie Holiday that spun off the No. 6 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Ain't No Other Man" and has sold 1.7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Aguilera will make her feature-film debut later this year in the dramatic musical "Burlesque." Slated for release at Thanksgiving, the film also stars Cher, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci and Julianne Hough.Source: Billboard
